The Call

In 1994, David & Heather Simpson, under the call of God, planted Cornerstone Church in East Kilbride with the desire to see people saved, healed, and restored. They move forward with the desire to see believers working together in unity in the power of the Holy Spirit

The aim of David & Heather is very simple and clear. It is to see God raise up Christ and to minister according to James 5:14-16, so people can be set free to live as God intended them to. David & Heather realised that people have deep needs, which only guidance from the Word of God can remedy. This was the beginning of what is now today Cornerstone Ministries.

 

Foundation of the Ministry

The ministry was founded under Isaiah 61, verses 1-3:

1. The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach the good tiding unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;
3. To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified.

Cornerstone Ministries was set up under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is a faith-based ministry relying on the Lord to supply all its needs. Cornerstone Ministries was established to enable David & Heather Simpson to fulfil the vision God gave to them to reach people with the full gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

Trustees

The Board of Trustees are all committed to proclaiming & reaching people with the full gospel of Jesus Christ, and upbuilding & strengthening the Church of Jesus Christ worlwide.

They are also custodians of the vision God gave David & Heather Simpson to reach out with the full gospel, bringing relief to the needy and hurt of this world.
